While large weaving already has well established tools, scaling them down requires a bit of a different approach. Luckily, miniweaving tools can be made of readily available craft materials, and with the use of simple equipment.

MINIWEAVING HOOKS
Miniweving hooks are based on an original design combining two tools in one: a hook on one end to pull the yarn through the warp, and a comb on the other, to use as a beater. This hook can acces the smallest and finest warp where it's not possible to use fingers or other tools.
MINIWEAVING STICKS
Made so they can be both a yarn carrier and a batten for pushing the yarn. Extremely useful for wider miniweaving projects, where you need to pull the yarn across the whole width of the warp.
SMALL AND LARGE COMBS
Combs for pushing down weft as you weave. On such small scale findig a firm but fine comb is very difficult: metal combs are sometimes too big or too tight, and plastic ones bend and curve the weave. Miniweaving combs are extremly simple to make but very efficient and durable and they can be made in any size you need for your miniweaving.
VARIOUS SHUTTLES AND BOBBINS
Various shuttles and bobbins to use as alternative means of carrying the yarn through the shed, all made from common craft materials and with hand tools. They can be quite expensive to buy but making them yourself means you can have as many as you need.
