ABOUT THE ARTIST

Nada M. is a standing member of the Association of Painters, Applied Artists and Designers of Serbia, a status not easily achieved in the art community. Her talent spans over numerous techniques, from graphite, soft pastels, to oil and acrylic, to watercolours, to collages and mixed media, with a favourite subject of exploring human emotion in her portrait work.
“When I was five, my twin brother and I climbed a tree in the backyard and then got on the roof of our house.” says Nada remembering her inspiration. “I can still recall the feeling of exhilaration when I saw how big the world was.”
Setting this big world in a small format was a challenge she was willing to take. The very first miniature she painted was a miniature rendering of her 50' (15m) mural she painted on a roof top of a building. Soon after she unleashed her talent into other directions: watercolour scenery, pour paint decorative panels, contemporary drawings, and as a crown jewel: full-on oil replicas of old masters.
